When Groves Academy (a school for students who because of their learning disabilities had not been successful in a traditional school setting) needed a new website they knew this would be an opportunity to further enhance the parent/teacher relationship. They came to Artropolis to find the best way to use the web achieve that goal. At the same time they had just incorporated a new logo and wished to incorporate that logo into the website.
Artropolis spent a great deal of time understanding the way things are currently done at Groves and formulated a set of tools that would give teachers and administration with a set of communication tools that include an e-mail broadcast tool, a teachers area that would give each teach their own page, and a "News Engine" for displaying timely information on the website. Content control was incorporated on several pages, including each of the teachers' pages (they can update the copy and upload documents for students to download from home) and several of the sites pages. In addition, a library tool was created so Groves could upload relevant files such as handbooks or forms.
